- MiniGEZA

Made in South Africa!

Save Time, Money and Electricity!

The MiniGeza is portable, fast, convenient & easy to use!  This tried and tested product is guaranteed to reduce your water heating account by half and is suited for Domestic Use, as well as, for the Outdoors e.g. camping, catering, and ALL general water heating purposes.

The unit includes a heating element, a protective shroud, cable, moulded plug (specified and fitted per Country requirement), patented properties and safety control switch, and operates on any 220/230 volt 50 Hz electrical system. The unit draws 9 amps and complies with all national and international safety standards.

Efficiency - It is widely accepted that the MiniGeza out-performs other non-shrouded element because of the convection it creates in the shroud and the resultant speedier heating of the water. Twenty litres of water can be heated in roughly 12 to 18 minutes. Best results when placed in an enclosed bucket or drum of water.

Convenience - Primary because of its portability, unique patented shroud and sealing system, the MiniGeza stand way out in front of other heating methods.

Safety - The MiniGeza must be FULLY submerged in water at all times without any fear of harm or danger. It is IEC 335 SAFETY STANDARD approved. The cable and sleeve should be handled carefully and are not to be used when damaged. A cut-out switch has also been added to further enhance safety.

Reliability - The MiniGeza is powered by a specially made electric element. It is a tried and tested product that should deliver reliable service when used as per instructions.

Health & Hygiene - The MiniGeza is effective for heating water in both urban and rural areas for general cleansing and hygiene. It boils at boiling point providing a means of drinking water from infected water supplies.  The spread of potentially life-threatening diseases, such as Cholera can therefore be avoided by many who are exposed to it, by correctly raising the temperature of the infected water.

Warrantee - Any factory defective MiniGeza will be replaced.

Size:  The MiniGeza is 19,5 cm x 12 cm x 7 cm with a 1 m length cord.

Safety Instructions:

Your MiniGeza should give you many years of service if you use it in accordance with the safety instructions and you take proper care of the unit.

·    The correct voltage supply is 230 V - 50Hz. The unit draws 9 Amps.

·    The electrical supply must be to legally approved standards, in correct working order.

·    The MiniGeza must be earthed at all times.

·    The supply cord is not replaceable. If it is damaged in any way, the unit must be discarded.

·    Always have the MiniGeza fully immersed in water before switching electric power on or off.

·    The MiniGeza can be used in any container sufficient to entirely submerse it and be of a material able to tolerate hot and boiling water.

·    Observe all normal safety precautions and keep out of reach of children.

DE-SCALING Procedure

Many areas have water containing lime and other minerals. This builds scale on the electric element, forming a heat barrier causing poor performance and possible failure of the element.

De-scaling products are available, but ordinary white or brown vinegar can be used with clean water in the ratio of 1 part vinegar to 4 parts water or 150 g of citric acid to 1 litre of clean water.

To remove scale, boil the unit in either of the above solutions for 30 minutes.

Generally this procedure should be used about once every 12 months, but if, on inspection, white/brown scale can be seen on the element it can be done more often.

No part of the unit will be damaged by this procedure and ratios.

After cleaning as above, wash the unit completely in clean water and discard the vinegar or citric acid solutions

Always remove the unit from water when not in use and switch unit on or off only when it is fully submersed in water.

Return Policy

The units are to be returned at the customer’s own expense.
The following faulty units will be replaced:

·         Crack in boot cover - shake the MG next to your ear, if you can hear water we will replace.
·         Tripping the power.
The following will not be replaced:

·     Minigeza working slower than usual, this is normally due to build-up of lime on the element. We will not replace. Boil unit in one part vinegar, four parts water for 20 minutes.
·     Damage to cord, plug, unit itself.
·     Deliberate or sequential damage.
·     Faulty units are inspected and if found that the unit has a factory defect, we will replace the unit and forward the new unit to you at no additional cost.
